The 1960s Austin Healey 3000 was a huge success in America thanks to its svelte styling and brutal performance.  When the Healey family decided to start making cars again in the 1990s the production run quickly sold out.

They created the HMC MKIV, a fully factory built and designed car that combined a spaceframe chassis - like a TVR - with Rover's excellent 3.9 litre V8 engine.  167 cars were made, production only ending because of difficulties with parts supply.

That makes the HMC a very rare car.  Those lucky enough to drive one revere its superb handling and performance, combined with creature comforts like wood veneer interior, power steering, 5 speed gearbox and even heated leather seats.  The Great Escape Cars HMC is a 1999 car finished in metallic light blue over cream with a cream leather interior.
